Mission:

CVAEYC acts and speaks on behalf of children in Central Virginia

To fulfill its mission, NVAEYC will:

  1. Promote the professional growth of persons working with young children.
  2. Collaborate with educators, families and communities to improve the availability and quality of developmental and educational services and resources for young children.
  3. Endorse public policies that ensure health, safety and quality programs for all young children.
  4. Value research to inform early childhood professionals and parents practices and policies affecting children and families.

A  hands-on workshop about how to guide preschool/kindergarten children in forming the letters of the alphabet in a stress-free way.

Scaffolding Storybooks
Provide strategies to help readers support early language and literacy skills through storybook reading.

Presenter: Alice Wiggins, Director of Early Childhood Programs & Curriculum at the Core Knowledge Foundation
